Android Kitkat debuts with 1.1% market share

Google’s recently released 4.4 KitKat version of it’s Android OS has debuted with a 1.1% market share of all installed versions of android. (Android.com)

The Jelly Bean version of android topped the chart with 37.4% share of all devices using the OS version.
Ginger Bread (2.3) and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0-ICS) came on second and third place respectively with 24.1% and 18.6% distribution.
Frozen Yoghurt (2.2-Froyo) and Honeycomb (3.1) lost considerable amount of market share in android devices amid arrival of new versions with better GUI’s.
