samsung_and_appleNEW YORK: For the first time ever, the worldwide Smartphone sale has surpassed the figure of 1 Billion in a year (2013) breaking all previous records, according to the report released by World’s Top Marketing Research Company IDC.
The Korean company Samsung has dominated the market share with 31.3 % as its 313.9 million Smartphones were sold across the globe.
US company Apple stands at the second spot by 15.3% share with 153.4 million sales of its iphones.
idc2013sp-620x447The Chinese company Huawei is at number three position with just 4.9% share in the market and sales of 48.8 million smartphones in the year 2013.
The leading Samsung recorded captured more than twice of the market share percentage of Apple, which clearly shows its decline.
According to the research company, Samsung’s success lies in the company’s numerous devices that made a big dent in the market as well as the great performance of its Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 flagships.
