Pakistan Railways To Facilitate The Passengers Free Internet Services

Lahore: Railway passengers would not bore anymore. Rather they can now enjoy themselves by having internet access during travelling.  After PIA, railway department has also decided of facilitating its passengers with its various services. According to the news sources, the railway department has decided of introducing internet facilities in trains. The passengers shall be facilitated free internet service. Wireless system and wifi will be installed to meet the need, say the sources.

Federal Minister of Railway Department Khwaja Rafiq earlier had reduced railway fares. On the occasion he spoke that the government does not only look forward to consolidating the railway department but is also determined to restore masses confidence in the local railways.

It is pertinent here to mention that PIA has also announced of facilitating the passengers with in-flight sms and calls service. However, the passengers would be liable to a nominal fee.  This service will be introduced to the passengers, flying to long routes.

People will be able to browse web, use social websites, check their mails, chat and enjoy video services.  The internet speed in a moving train is likely to be slow to what is experienced usually at homes or browsing through mobile phones. Since, the band with will be shared by all the passengers on the train.
