Pakistan Ranked 35th Among Alcohol Consuming Countries

London: To figure out level of alcohol consumption, British company carried out survey in 37 countries. Out of the results produced, Pakistan ranked 35.  Alcohol hubs (high alcohol consuming countries) that could have been added were not considered part of the work

British Broadcasting Company (BBC), Euromonitor, the research body says, the sub-continent consumes 50 % of the alcohol produced globally.  India tops the list among the high alcohol consuming countries.  But if the results are deduced on the basis of demographic location and population, then France tops the list. According to the details, annually, each French man consumes 2.15 liter alcohols.

Likewise Uruguay and America are the next largest alcohol consumption centers. Annually each Uruguay and American consumes 1.77 and 1.41 liter of alcohol respectively. According to the demographics, United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranks 6, where annual consumption per person is 1.27 liters.

1.24 liters alcohols are consumed by an Indian yearly on an average.  Pakistan and China comparatively share less part in the beverage consumption. For Pakistanis it is 0.04 % and 0.02 % for Chinese people.
