The dance steps originate from Finnish folklore, but have more recently been mixed with music from a penguin cartoon by an Albanian man who dedicated the song to his sister on the occasion of her wedding. Participants of the dance stand behind each other holding each other’s waists perform coordinated moves based on the music‘s rhythm. The dance begins with two left and right kicks followed by a jump forward and then backward same as of penguins’ movements. Videos of the dance being performed have been spread extensively on various social networks.
