India Beat Pakistan To Lift Kabaddi World Cup 2013
LUDHIANA: Defending Champion India beat Pakistan by 48-39 points in final of Kabaddi World Cup 2013, and become the world champion for second consecutive time.(Express News)
In the final match played in Ludhiana, Indian team succeeded to defend their title and after a tough fight, clinched the trophy with a winning cash prize of Rs 2 crore.
Pakistani team resisted till the last moment but could not triumph over Indians, who were leading right from the start with a narrow margin. The runners up of 4th Kabaddi World Cup has were awarded with Rs 1 Crore Cash Prize.
Pakistan’s Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal were also present at the stadium to watch the final match.
Pakistan also had first two World Cups to its credit. Last year Pakistan was defeated by India on their home soil.
