leader Altaf Hussain expressed deep grief and sorrow on the accidental
death of the young cricket player, Zulfiqar
Bhatti. In a grief statement he said that he along with all the party
workers are sad by the demise of the player. Altaf prayed for the grant
of Jannah for the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family.

Zulfiqar Bhatti, the Pakistani cricketer breathed his last while playing match at the T20 tournament held in Sukkur on 20
th
December. The sad event happened during the match when the 22 -aged
player was hit on the chest by ball. Succumbing to the hit, he died on
the spot.
During batting he aimed for pull shot. The fast ball delivered hit
the young cricketer on the chest. Owing to the hit, the cricketer was
rushed to the civil hospital to the treatment. However, was declared
dead by the doctors while the treatment was underway.
Ayaz Mehmood, districts cricket secretary said that death of Zulfiqar
is accidental and loss to us. ‘The Sukkur administration has suspended
the sports activities through out Sukkur for three days as condolence’.
Mehmood said that moments before his death, Bhatti showed signs of
being fine. Despite the attempts by the doctor, the young cricketer
failed to bear to the injury and died. The doctors say that Bhatti
breathed his last on the pitch.
Bhatti, the youngest in his family was laid to rest in his ancestral home ground at Dargah Bedil Bekas.
