TEHRAN: Iranian football committee conducted an official mandatory gender testing camp for Iran women national team and after testing it was revealed that four players were Men playing in women’s football team.
Iranian football committee annually conducts gender testing camps for both men and women national football team in which every single player undergo from mandatory gender test.
Sex change operations are legal in Iran since 1979, so this testing camp is considered compulsory. According to a doubt this year gender testing was conducted on an immediate basis and this was revealed that among 16 players squad of women football team four players were men, as they were not completely females.
After this camp Iranian football federation will now conduct gender testing after every 6 months and who will refuse to be checked by doctors will be short listed for any heading competitions.
