Pakistanis sent 315 billion short messages during 2012-2013

ISLAMABAD: In a recent report issued by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), it has been learnt that Pakistanis sent a staggering 315 billion short messages (smses), during 2012-13.



According the report issued by PTA, from July 2012 to June 2013, Pakistanis sent a record 315.7 billion short messages.
According to the report, 865 million short messages were sent and received on daily basis in the country.


Compared with the same period last year, the short messaging sending trend witnessed a growth  of 13.68%
