ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan government has started issuing new passports with a validity period of 10 years.
The passports can be obtained with normal fees of Rs 5400, whereas the urgent fees is Rs 9000.
The passport with 10-year validity will not be issued to children under the age of 15.
It is pertinent to mention here that in case the passport is stolen or lost, new passport will be made after charging double fee.
However, the people will have the facility to acquire passport with 5-year validity.
