Former Drone Operator Exposed Reality behind Drone Technology

Washington: Twitter account of Heather Limbaugh, former operator of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAvs) has been deactivated, after the lady revealed weaknesses of the drone strikes. Heather Limbaugh is an American analyst to locate and identify the details for geographical positions to carrying out the drone strikes.

She has served as drone operator in Afghan-Iraq war. In an exclusive interview to the British newspaper Guardian, she has revealed the astonishing fact about the inaccuracy of the drone strikes. Which, according to her incapable to “diagnose” the ultimate target, be it a suspected human figure or a weapon. ‘Up till now, strikes carried out on guesses, without conformity about the target”, she added.

“The drone strikes are controlled through experts”. The former drone operator defied the claims made by the American and British newspapers.  She said footages released by the drone aircrafts in clear weather are not clear enough to detect the targets. Walking men on land and weapons are difficult to differentiate from high above.

Sharing her feelings, she said that often I would shiver, after carrying out the deadly strikes.

Former Female American drone operator said that despite proper training, the operators become victim of mental disorders. Many often, would commit suicide, she added.

In a helpless, sad tone, Heather Limbaugh said that she wishes to inform the high officials that how miserable the job is. Two of her colleagues had committed suicide owing to the regret to kill innocent lives through incompetent drone strikes.
